Regrets from our Opportunities

Opportunities are like the sun. If you wait too long, you miss them. Still, they come back again but not the same as before. There are times when we can't stop wanting more. Times where we don't know the importance of something until they are taken away. I'll tell you a story of someone who experienced those times.

There was a guy who never believed in true happiness and love. For him, love is mediocrity. He just plays with other people's feelings Then he met a girl. A girl that changed everything. A girl that so different this boy with a heart so stiff and cold changed his ways. He realized that true happiness and love can be obtained. He admired the girl secretly. Then one day, he showed his true colors. He told the girl that he has feelings for her. The girl was feeling the same for him. They were happy. Times passed and they haven't seen each other in a long time with little contact with each other. The boy changed. He asked for more. His parents presented a different girl to him. He dumped the girl that loved him truthfully. That was the GREATEST regret of his life. He tried to seek more love from that new girl but failed drastically. He failed to do so because deep down he still loves his first love. But that girl never gives second chances. The boy was devastated. He didn't realized that he had the opportunity to be happy. The boy did not give up on her. He struggled. He gave more effort. Then one day the coldness in the girls heart was melted by the warm honest efforts of the boy. He then swore to not just double or triple his efforts but make it even greater than before. He realized that opportunities are one in a million.

Opportunities isn't like the sand which numerous in numbers. Opportunities don't last forever. We should grasp the opportunities and hold tight those who are truly dear to us. For all we know, they will never leave us nor forsake us for they are those who gave their love to us wholeheartedly.
