Courage
Courage is a very powerful word. Courage is the ability to confront our fears and problems. I admire those people with courage. I know it is very hard for us to confront our problems especially now as a student.
There is someone that I really admire. His name was Jay Moriarty. He was an accomplished surfer, water man, and an adventurer from Santa Cruz, California. He was internationally famous at the age of sixteen. Even though he is still young he is already successful in life.
His father left him and his mother alone. His childhood friend doesn't want to be seen with him. Even though he has a lot of reasons to give up hi still pursued his dreams. I admire him because of his courage.
Although, he didn't fight the challenges in his life alone. A man named Frosty who is a pro surfer helped him. Frosty taught him how to be a good surfer and while doing so also taught Jay a lot about life. Time came when Frosty needed Jay's help and that time Frosty learned something from Jay. His passion for surfing helped him become successful in life.
I want all people to live like Jay. I want all of us to have the courage to face our fears and stop running away from them. All wee need is courage.
